So, I've decided I'm going to update this once a month. I will update this after the first meeting of the month because at the second meeting, I hand out newsletters.
Thus, commence the announcements!
Firstly, if you haven't already, please hand in your UNICEF boxes. If you forgot at the last meeting, bring it to the next meeting. For those who attended the Spastic Paralysis field trip, thank you very much, and I hope you enjoyed the presentations. I hope that the presentations gave you some insight on part of what we help to fundraise for in Key Club. Also, if you haven't yet let Ida know that you're going to Bowl-A-Thon, you have until tomorrow to do that.
Projects:
1. Bowl-A-Thon
When: Sunday, November 20th, 2011 from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m
Where: Fireside Bowl (2646 West Fullerton)
Description: Come bowl for Spastic Paralysis Research Foundation! The cost is $22, but you can't put a cost on advancing medicine to help better the chances of people's lives with Spastic Paralysis! We do need you to get pledges, however, or else it wouldn't be a fundraiser!
2. Middle School Science Fair Judging
When: December 7
Where: 5255 South State Street
Description: We will be judging middle school students' science fair. The catch is that you need to find your own ride there and back because the project is at Beasley Elementary School. It's a school day, but you'll be signed out all day.
3. Lincoln Park Zoolights
Date: Nov. 25th, 26th, or 27th [Fri. – Sun.] Time: 4:45 PM – 9:00 PM
Location: Lincoln Park Zoo [Primate House]
Volunteer groups will facilitate fun, holiday crafts in the Primate House.
Individual volunteers will help in our Members’ Lounge where they will facilitate crafts and pass out hot chocolate and winter treats.
